On arrival in Tangier—whether at the airport, port, or your accommodation—you will be greeted by our team and begin your journey. Tangier, known as the “Bride of the North,” lies where the Mediterranean meets the Atlantic near Cape Spartel.
Start the day with visits to the Hercules Caves and Cape Spartel, followed by free time for lunch. In the afternoon, drive inland toward Chefchaouen, passing through Tetouan and the scenic Rif Mountains, stopping for panoramic views along the way. Overnight stay in a hotel in Chefchaouen.
After breakfast, enjoy free time to explore Chefchaouen’s charming blue-painted streets. Later, drive to the Roman ruins of Volubilis, a UNESCO World Heritage Site featuring impressive mosaics, columns, and arches.
Continue to Meknes, a former imperial capital, and visit highlights such as Bab al-Mansour, the Sahrij Souani Basin, the Royal Stables, granaries, and the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail. In the evening, proceed to Fez for an overnight stay in a riad.
After breakfast, embark on a full-day guided tour of Fez, Morocco’s cultural and spiritual heart. Start with a driving tour of the Royal Palace Gate and the historic Jewish Quarter (Mellah). Enjoy panoramic views from Borj Sud Fortress and visit the Ceramic Village & School to see traditional craftsmanship.
Then explore the medieval Medina, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, visiting the Al Attarine Madrasa, the University and Mosque of Al Quaraouiyine, and the Chouara Tanneries, where leather is dyed using centuries-old techniques. Return to your riad for overnight stay.
Depart south through Imouzzer to Ifrane, a town with alpine-style architecture, cool climate, and snowy winters, earning it the nickname “the Switzerland of Morocco.” Visit the cedar forest, home to wild Barbary macaques, and enjoy a short walk among majestic trees.
Continue to Midelt for lunch, then cross the Tizi n’Talghamt Pass into the scenic Ziz Valley, stopping at viewpoints along the way. Arrive at Merzouga in the Sahara Desert, switch to camels, and ride across the dunes to your desert camp. Enjoy tea, dinner, and Berber drumming under a star-filled sky. Overnight in the desert camp.
After breakfast, explore the Merzouga region, home to sand dunes, a seasonal lake, mines, fossil sites, and lush palm groves. Begin with an off-road drive to an old kohl mine, then visit nomad families in their traditional tents and enjoy a cup of Berber tea.
Next, head to Khamlia Village, famous for Gnawa music and dance, performed by locals whose ancestry traces back to Mali, Sudan, and Niger. After lunch, stroll through a nearby palm grove and visit Merzouga’s seasonal lake, often visited by flamingos. Return to Merzouga for dinner and overnight stay in a hotel.
Wake early to watch the sunrise over the dunes, then depart for Rissani, the former capital of Tafilalet, with its lively souk. Continue to Erfoud, visiting workshops specializing in fossilized marble.
Drive through Touroug and Tinjdad to reach the Todra Gorges, a dramatic canyon with towering red cliffs. After lunch and free time to explore, continue to the Dades Valley, stopping at the “Monkey Fingers” rock formations and scenic viewpoints. Dinner and overnight stay in a hotel.
