Day 1: Marrakech – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate – Dades Valley

Your 4-day desert tour from Marrakech to Merzouga begins with an early pickup at around 8:00 a.m. from your hotel or riad. Travel across the breathtaking High Atlas Mountains via the scenic Tizi n’Tichka Pass, with stops along the way for photos and short breaks in traditional Berber villages.

The first major highlight is the iconic Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its remarkable earthen architecture and appearances in films like Gladiator and Lawrence of Arabia.

After lunch in Ouarzazate, continue through the lush Skoura Oasis, famous for its palm groves and the historic Kasbah Amridil, where you can explore traditional Saharan architecture with a local guide.
