Day 1: Arrival in Marrakech

Your unforgettable 7-day Marrakech desert tour begins with a warm welcome at Marrakech Menara Airport by one of our local drivers. You will be comfortably transferred to your hotel or riad to rest and prepare for the adventure ahead.

Day 2: Marrakech – High Atlas – Aït Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate – Dades Valley

After breakfast, depart around 8:30 a.m., traveling across the Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2,260 m) with spectacular mountain panoramas and authentic Berber villages, stopping for photos along the way.

Next, visit the iconic Aït Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and famous filming location for movies such as Gladiator and The Mummy, and series like Game of Thrones. Enjoy free time for lunch at a local restaurant.

Continue to Ouarzazate, visiting the Atlas Film Studios and the historic Taourirt Kasbah (optional). Drive through the lush Skoura palm groves and the Rose Valley, known for its fragrant flowers and traditional cosmetics. Passing the Valley of a Thousand Kasbahs, you will arrive in Dades Valley for dinner and an overnight stay at a hotel or riad with breathtaking views of the valley.

Day 3: Dades Valley – Todra Gorges – Erfoud – Merzouga Desert & Camel Trekking

After breakfast, depart toward the Todra Gorges, passing traditional Berber villages and the palm-lined Todra Valley. Explore the canyon with its towering cliffs, take a short walk, and enjoy panoramic photo opportunities.

Continue to Tinjdad and Touroug for lunch, then drive through Erfoud, the gateway to the Sahara Desert of Tafilalet. Arrive in Merzouga, meet your camels, and embark on a 1.5-hour trek across the golden Erg Chebbi dunes. Pause to watch the sunset, try sandboarding, and capture unforgettable photos.

Arrive at your desert camp for a traditional Moroccan dinner, Berber music, and drumming around the campfire under a star-filled sky. Overnight in the desert camp.

Day 4: Merzouga – 4×4 Excursion & Desert Exploration

Wake early to witness a breathtaking sunrise over the dunes, followed by breakfast and a refreshing shower. Begin a 4×4 tour of the Merzouga region, visiting the Hassi Labied Oasis, the seasonal Srij Lake, and Khamlia village to experience lively Gnawa music and dance.

Explore the M’ifis mineral and fossil mines, and visit a nomadic Berber family to learn about their daily life. Enjoy panoramic stops, lunch at a local restaurant, and return to your hotel in Merzouga for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Merzouga – Rissani – Draa Valley – Ouarzazate

After breakfast, depart toward Ouarzazate, stopping in Rissani to explore its traditional market if it coincides with market days (Sunday, Tuesday, or Thursday). Continue through the pre-desert landscape to the Draa Valley, known for Morocco’s longest river and lush palm groves.

Cross the Anti-Atlas Mountains, stop for lunch along the way, and arrive in Ouarzazate in the late afternoon. Enjoy dinner and overnight stay at your hotel.
