From Tangier to the desert

On the first day you climb into the Rif to Chefchaouen, the town of blue houses. Then come Volubilis, Meknes and Fes, and from Fes the Middle Atlas and the Ziz Valley down to Merzouga. The way back runs through the Todra Gorge, the Dades Valley and Ait Ben Haddou to Marrakech.

A 5- or 6-day Tangier desert tour covers the essential route. With 7, there’s a full day in Fes or in the desert. With 10 to 13, you add a day in Chefchaouen, Marrakech with a guide and, on the longest, Asilah, Rabat and Essaouira.

If you arrive by ferry

We pick you up at the port of Tangier. The 13-day tour returns to Tangier via Casablanca and Asilah, for travellers who came by car or ferry and want to go back the same way.
